“A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.”

December 24, 2015

I guess we’ve all been in a situation where we find out who our true friends are. You know the scenario, we’re in financial trouble, our relationship isn’t working, or our work situation isn’t looking very stable.  So, what do we do? We call our friends and ask for their help. Sometimes it’s just for reassurance that things will get better and to hear, “hey, I’m always here for you.” Other times we ask for financial aid just for a short while until things get better when we’ll repay our debt. It’s at times like these that perhaps people we believed to be friends will fade into the background, maybe because they don’t want to be put on the spot or they’re dealing with their own problems, or perhaps just because they don’t think enough about you to really care. This is when your true friends can be counted. The ones who are dealing with their own problems too but who care enough about you to put their problems on hold to help you out and make sure you know you can count on them. True friends indeed, treasure them.
