This was an amazing event! The third annual Tarot Festival held at the Islington Eco Centre www.islingtoncentre.co.uk in London last Saturday organised by my very gifted friend, Tarot Master and Authoress Kim Arnold together with The Atlantis Occult Bookshop, London. A day entirely devoted to Tarot, which included interactive workshops, selling stalls, meditations, and much more. I was delighted and honoured to be invited to attend once more with my beautiful Tarot cards to give Tarot readings.
We were blessed with a sunny day, apart from one short shower, which didn't prevent attendees from enjoying a stroll in the ecological garden/outdoors, or taking the opportunity to spend time in the tree sheltered meditation area.
People who had booked to attend were so keen to join us that they began arriving an hour before the before the official opening time of 10.30 a.m., which only added to our already overwhelming feeling that it was going to be a very special memorable and exciting day indeed! Greeting old friends and making new friends involved lots of hugs (anybody who knows me knows I'm a serial hugger). I wonder if there is a self-help group for people like me? "Hello, my name is Cathi and I'm a serial hugger!" Sorry, got a bit distracted for a moment. Now where was I? Lots of happy chatter, and "oohs" and "ahs" of appreciation from those clustered around the stalls appreciating the Tarot/esoteric related treasures for sale. Everybody was made to feel welcome and special whether they had come alone, with a friend or a group. This Festival, and the UK Tarot Conference, freely bestow an instant and warm sense of friendship and belonging to each and every single one of those who attend and that's the reason why I, for one,
The interactive workshops by some very well-known names in the Tarot community were well attended and, judging by the laughter and applause, very much appreciated by the people fortunate enough to have booked to attend.
It was a very busy day for me too, and the day flew by as I read for some wonderful people. Once again, I felt very blessed to have been invited for the third consecutive Tarot Festival and, fingers crossed, will be making the same journey again this time next year.
I know you will also be interested to learn that Kim Arnold is also the Founder and Organiser of the World reknowned UK Tarot Conference held at The Thistle Barbican, London, every October. This year on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th October 2017. If you would like to see the programme for yesterday's Tarot Festival details AND the UK Tarot Conference, here's the link www.tarotconference.co.uk. If you'd like to know more about the payment plan etc., you can contact Kim at email@example.com and I know she'll be more than happy to respond.
There are a few photos on my Facebook page (I hate having my photo taken), and lots of photos of the day on Kim's Facebook page.
Hoping to see you at 2018 Tarot Festival and the UK Tarot Conference 2017.
